Easter

Easter Three

We spent Easter day with my (Jen's) family. We ate a yummy lunch and just talked and played with the kids (there were 5, and one baby) all day. The Tirzah, Kynan, and Kylie did an Easter egg hunt...not sure who got the biggest stash, but I think it was Tirzah. We dressed Kynan in one of my brother's baby outfits (shown above), which is a Whinnie the Pooh Christopher Robin outfit. The bowtie is just super cute on him. Aaron brushed his hair to the side old-school style, and he was just so cute and kissable!

Easter Two

After we dyed the eggs with the Forbes, we went to Aaron's parents' house and had a delicious Easter dinner there (this was all on Saturday). In his family, they do a candy race, where his mom puts out a bunch of chocolate and candy on the furniture and other surfaces, and the kids race to see who can get the most candy. It's really fun for the kids, and kind of a neat spin on the traditional Easter egg hunt. The cookies pictured above were so pretty and festive, I had to take pictures of them. They are from an old bakery in Peoria, IL, where Aaron's mom used to go when she was a kid. Her mom (Aaron's grandma) sends her cookies from there at Christmas and Easter...and we gladly help her eat them!

Easter One

We had three Easter celebrations this year. For the first, we silk-dyed eggs with some friends at Kim and Jarod Forbes' house. The eggs turned out beautiful, but some of the silk pieces from the kit we ordered on etsy.com were a little small, so those didn't come out as good. I'll be posting quite a few pics of the eggs. I am going to hunt for silk ties and shirts at garage sales this summer so we can do it again next year! It was a lot of fun! My niece and new nephew, Garrett, and my sister, Meghan came with us. The kids were amazed at the results. These pictures are in reverse order, going from finish to start!

A Kid at Heart

Last week, Aaron decided to hang out with Kynan in the crib. I think he was getting in touch with his infant side! I just can't believe he fit! It's very cute, though.
